Reiki Level I Certification

What you will learn:

  • An introduction to Reiki and its foundational principles

  • The history and lineage of Reiki The basics of the chakra system

  • How to protect and care for your personal energy

  • An introduction to traditional hand placements

  • The basic structure and flow of a Reiki session

Each student will be guided through a grounding meditation, receive their Level I attunement, enjoy hands‑on practice, and learn how to offer a complete Reiki session. You’ll leave with a Level I Reiki certification and a strong, grounded understanding of how Reiki flows through you.

This is the first of three Reiki levels and requires no prior experience. At The Jubilant Journal, Reiki is taught with intention, integrity, and care — honouring your pace, your curiosity, and your personal experience with Reiki.

Reiki Level II Certification

What you will learn:

  • The three traditional Reiki symbols and how to work with them

  • How to offer distance Reiki and connect energetically across time and space

  • Techniques for strengthening intuition and reading subtle energetic cues

  • How to support emotional healing and deeper energetic shifts Methods for clearing spaces, objects, and energetic imprints

  • How to structure a Level II session, including symbol integration and intuitive flow

  • Develop the skills, confidence, and practical experience to offer Reiki sessions at a professional level

Each student will be guided through a grounding meditation, receive their Level II attunement, practice using the symbols, and explore hands‑on and distance Reiki techniques. You’ll leave with a Level II Reiki certification and the confidence to offer deeper, more intentional Reiki sessions.

This level builds on the foundations of Level I and invites you into a more intuitive, expansive relationship with Reiki. Completion of Level I is required.

Advanced & Master Teacher

Advanced Reiki (Session 1)
What you will learn:

  • New Reiki symbols to support and strengthen your treatments and attunements

  • An introduction to the techniques used when giving attunements

  • Crystal grid work, including how to create and activate the traditional Reiki Grid Reiki meditations to deepen your connection and expand your intuitive awareness

  • Intention‑setting practices to support your spiritual and energetic development

  • Receiving your Advanced Reiki attunement

  • Receiving your Advanced Reiki certificate

Reiki Master Teacher (Session 2)
What you will learn:

  • The Master Reiki symbol and how to work with it

  • Meditations to empower and enhance your connection with the Reiki source energy

  • How to give attunements at each Reiki degree level

  • Receiving your Reiki Master level attunement

  • Receiving your Reiki Master Teacher certificate

Throughout this immersive weekend, students will receive both their Advanced Reiki attunement and their Master Reiki attunement, explore crystal grid work, practice giving attunements, and deepen their connection with the Reiki source energy. You’ll leave with your Advanced Reiki certificate and your Reiki Master Teacher certificate, along with the ability to attune others to all levels of Reiki.

This combined training completes your Reiki journey within the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage and is intended for practitioners ready to expand their spiritual practice and professional offerings. You will hold the title of Reiki Master upon completion and become a Master Teacher once you have taught at least one student. Completion of Reiki Level II is required. Registration includes Session 1 (Advanced Reiki) and Session 2 (Master Teacher).

Meet Your Teacher

Hi, I’m Laura! Reiki Master Teacher and the founder of The Jubilant Journal.

Reiki became an important part of my life through my own journey of healing, mindfulness, and spiritual connection, and it’s a practice I feel deeply grateful to share with others.

My approach to teaching is relaxed, supportive, and rooted in traditional Reiki principles. I believe learning Reiki should feel welcoming and accessible, with space for curiosity, questions, and personal experience.

My hope for every student is that they leave feeling confident in their ability to work with their own energy and inspired to carry Reiki into their daily lives.

  • No experience is required for Level I — it’s designed as a gentle, accessible introduction to Reiki for anyone who feels curious about energy work or called to explore their intuition. You’ll be guided step‑by‑step, with plenty of time for questions, practice, and grounding. Levels II and Advanced + Master Teacher build on one another, so you’ll move through the training in a natural, supported progression.

  • Wear comfortable clothing and bring a notebook, water, and anything that helps you feel grounded — such as a favourite crystal, journal, or small blanket. Most importantly, bring an open heart and a willingness to explore your own energy with curiosity and compassion.

  • Yes. Level II qualifies you to offer Reiki sessions professionally. You’ll learn the symbols, distance techniques, and intuitive skills needed to support clients with confidence and integrity. Many practitioners begin offering sessions after Level II, while others choose to continue on to the Advanced + Master Teacher training to deepen their practice even further.

  • Yes. They are offered as one immersive weekend experience. This format allows you to move through the Advanced techniques and into the Master Teacher material in a cohesive, integrated way. You’ll receive both attunements, both certificates, and plenty of time to practice the skills needed to step into the role of Reiki Master and, eventually, Master Teacher.

  • You will receive the Master Teacher certificate upon completing the Advanced + Master Teacher weekend. You officially become a Master Teacher once you have taught at least one student. This honours the tradition that mastery is not only about knowledge, but also about sharing the lineage with others.
